Minigolf Sochi Open 2010

Traditional international minigolf tournament will take place in Sochi in fourth time!

The best sportsmen of Russia and Europe will participate the competitions.

Tournament organizers are The Hotel and Minigolf club “Olympiysky-Dagomys” supported by Russian Golf Association and World Minigolf Sport Federation /WMF/.

Having reconstructed concrete fields The Hotel "Olympiysky-Dagomys", in 1997 became one of the centres of the Russian minigolf. Minigolf course in Dagomys is the best in Russia and is the training base for national team. Foreign sportsmen also highly appreciate a format of fields because of their original form.

All these innovations gave the club an opportunity to welcome this summer the YOUTH WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2010. The second important after the adult Championship, the YWC has been held at the highest level that has been noted by officials of the World Minigolf Sport Federation.

Tournament Sochi Open becomes from year to year more and more interesting. Sportsmen from  Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic have confirmed their participation in the tournament. Among the Russian participants are titled sportsmen – prize-winners of the World championship, prize-winners and champions of Russia from St.-Petersburg, Moscow, Nizhni Novgorod, Sochi and other cities.

Minigolf Sochi Open 2009

8-11 of October

Since 8th till 11th of October 2009 Russian Golf Association and minigolf club "Olympiysky-Dagomys" organized annual international tournament - MiniGolf Sochi Open 2009.

In the tournament took part more than 60 sportsmen from Austria, Hungary, Ukraine and Russia (Moscow, Nizhniy - Novgorod, Sankt-Petersburg, Cheboksary and of course youth from "Olympiysky-Dagomys" MiniGolf school.

Sport Director of World MiniGolf Federation Gerhard Zimmermann (Germany) visited the event.

Awarding ceremony took place on the 10th of October at 5.30 p.m.

The Absolute winner of the MiniGolf Sochi Open 2009 Cup was Csaba Palinkas (Hungary), he got the special prize from the main sponsor of the tournament Austrian Airlines - free business class tickets for two from Budapest via Vienna to Sochi and from "Olympiysky-Dagomys Hotel" - a voucher for a one-week free stay in De-Lux suite. The same prize was given for Elisabeth Berger-Rella (Austria) – she was the best among women.

All winners of the tournaments received valuable gifts and monetary prizes from organizers and sponsors.

All participants got diplomas and memorable gifts from sponsors and "Olympiysky-Dagomys" minigolf Club.

Minigolf Sochi Open 2008

6-13 of October

The dates of the Mini-golf Sochi Open Cup 2008 (Final phase) are fixed. It will be held from the 6th to 13th of October at the «Olympiysky Dagomys» Mini-golf club course. This event was set aside (earlier it was supposed to be held on 1-5 of October) because of the Mini-golf Europe Championship which is held on 2-4 of October in Germany. Organizers of the Mini-golf Sochi Open 2008 are planning to hold it as an international tournament engaging players from various Europian countries.

Austrian Airlines (Sochi office) is an Official Carrier for the tournament. Austrian Airlines is the only foreign air company, which has a direct flight from Europe (Vienna) to Sochi, three times a week. European participants will have the special rate for the round-trip tickets from their native countries to Sochi. Hotel & Resort «Olympiysky Dagomys» also provides special offers during competitions for the participants and their family mambers.

11 and 12 of October are supposed to be playing days. Victory ceremony will be held in the night of 12 of October. Austrian Airlines will grant free round-trip tickets to (from) Sochi (for two persons) for the winner of the competition. And our hotel will grant for the foreign winner a voucher “New Year Eve”. Except of that, there will be another prizes and gifts from the organizers and sponsors of the Tournament including purses.
