Our minigolf course

(status and technical information)

History and plans:

MOS course of the “Olympiysky-Dagomys” was built in 1982, renovated in 2007-08 and certificated by WMF in 2008.

Five Russian National tournaments were carried out on the course (including 1st Russian Minigolf Team Cup) in 2007-08.

“2nd Russian Minigolf Team Cup” (1-3 May) and “MinigolfSochiOpen-2009” International tournament (8-11 October) will take place in 2009.

Our club complex will be extended with miniaturegolf during 2009.

MOS course construction:

Playing surface: concrete. In 2008 (after certification) the playing surface was renovated to achieve standard quality of the concrete minigolf course.

Borders: steel tubes. Now the borders of the all lanes are in process to be changed to standard borders of the concrete (diameter and quality). It will be finished by the beginning of the 2009 summer season (April 2009).

Size scale: typical length of the lane is 10.50 m, width is 1.07 m. Therefore it looks as “90% concrete”.Geometry: some lanes look similar to the concrete ones but principally the geometry is original. It is important to stress that all lane geometries permit to find effective balls and trajectories (see below).

Obstacles: The material of the obstacles is concrete, geometry is original. Some obstacles now are in process to be repaired with non significant changes.

Playing characters: competition course record is 25, national team players have typical results at the level 29-30. All lanes are available for ace with better than 50-60% probability for leading players. More details about course including videos and photos you can see on our site http://minigolf.sochi.ru.
